Blocks all of the ads and annoying popups that used to bother me! Just be sure to follow the instructions. Five stars! Would recommend to anyone with ad and popup problems.

Sometimes it works, and sometimes it doesnt. I don’t know why.

I wasted a lot of money and time to buy and install this and it does not work at all. I restarted my Mac, I restarted my browser and nothing happened. Also the name of the app is fraudulent since the functionality (if it worked) is not providing any malware protection, is not an antivirus! Waste of time and money

I want a refund. It does ABSOLUTELY NOTHING. Crap product.

On one hand the installation and setup was easy (involves giving the app permission to access your home folder and setting your internet proxy settings to the app’s). On the other hand I tried this ad blocker on multiple sites and it did nothing. I use ‘Purify’ on my iPhone and it works flawlessly. The advertisements that Purify blocks aren’t blocked at all by AdBlock Elite. I couldn’t find any ads that were blocked. Even what I would consider the most fundamental and hard to miss ad, the paid results at the top of a Google search page, weren’t blocked. This product is a scam, as previous reviewers have stated. I double checked the installation steps and the application confirmed it was installed properly. I also cleared my history and cookies. I shut down Safari and rebooted the computer for good measure. This program simply does nothing.

They tell you the algorithm has changed and to delete and reinstall but nothing changes you just keep getting the same message. If you are going to do an Update how about at least checking that it works.

This app worked for the first few weeks. Then there were updates. Now it does nothing except use my ram and show an icon. It repeatidly prompts for a delete and restart, which changes nothing, and prompts again for delete and restart. I emailed the maker. This person says that I am the only one having a problem, and I must not be working it right. I asked them if they’ve checked their reviews lately, because, obviously, everyone here says it does not work in the current version. So far, there is no acknowlegement of an issue. I told them I am contacting Apple, have screen shots of all issues with the app. I said I was leaving a review. They said they will reset the reviews here. I said I will let Apple know that they are manipulating reviews to deleberately decieve the public. So, here we are. I took screen shots of the reviews, so Apple can see it…not that it wouldn’t be too much for them to go back in their system and find them all, anyway.

Installed this thinking it would help get rid of some ads. All it did was make it impossible to see Disqus comments. Complete waste of money. Do not buy this useless app.

I installed and set up the app per instructions, creating a proxy server, entering the URL. Ran the test which confirmed the app was working. Cleared cookies and history and restarted my browser. Went to a few news sites and working as expected…no ads. Some placeholders where ads would be, but no ads. So then I tried Youtube. Selected a commercial video (from NBC) that I knew would have an ad at the begingin. No ad…great. Select second video, locked up. Youtube would not play. Go to Safari options, clear cookies, select video….plays fine….select another one….locks up. Basically, I have to clear my cookies after every youtube video. Not good. Still needs work. Fix it, and I’ll edit my review. EDIT: Still doesn’t work with Youtube. New version now just locks up Youtube. Have to turn AdBlock off and clear cookies to watch videos. Tech support has been contacted several times over the past month without answer. THEY SELL FAULTY SOFTWARE AND IGNORE SUPPORT QUESTIONS….WASTE OF MONEY.
